February's Work

Published on 22 March 2025 at 12:52

So this month I started a job at CVS as a cashier part time. This is not the money that we really need but it is something and anything helps right now to get us where we need to go. I tried this month to stay more consistent with the beermoney stuff which maybe you could tell from that post. I also tried to really work Amazon as much as possible, but this was also a really hard month for me mental health wise. I had a really hard time at the beginning of the month where I could barely eat and shower let alone work and function. I bounced back. I'm okay now, but that was the reality. I need to focus on myself and my health before I can focus on money. Money is nothing without my mental state. SOOOO that is where we are at. This month took a bit of a toll but that is okay. Things aren't always perfect. Give yourself grace when you need to. Be understanding with yourself.

This month I averaged $0.77 per mile which is not the best but not too bad. My goal is normally a dollar a mile but I got some pretty rough runs this month and that is not something I can control. I also didn't take the $54 off the run where I had no miles into account either. The Amazon run on the 19th where I logged 0 miles was actually super cool. I got to the warehouse and they were clearly behind on orders because when I got there there was only one cart ready and a ton of drivers waiting. I waited for half an hour and then I got a message on the app saying that there were no available routes and that I could go ahead and go home but I would still be paid, so I got paid just to go to the warehouse. For tax purposes I cannot claim any milage on that because for tax purposes you can not claim the commute to the warehouse or home from the last drop off, this is considered your commute.
